Interior landscaping in enclosed spaces (e.g. offices, hotels, shopping malls and hospitals) is a fast growing industry to bring health and aesthetic benefits (e.g. better air quality) for humans. The course focuses on the theory and practices of interior landscape design, the basic landscape design principles (e.g. colour, focalization and contrast), interior plants, appropriateplant selection, use of interior plants for aesthetic and functional purposes. The students are expected to have a very sound knowledge of the advantages of incorporating living plants into buildings and selecting the appropriate plants for different sites to design indoor gardens. |
