Aim
1The Political Science and Public Administration undergraduate programme aims to enhance students' knowledge and theoretical understanding in political history, formation of state, organization and functioning of political institutions, political parties, political participation, and political behaviour, broader perspectives in state-society relations, the role of media and civil society, governance, interplay between global, national and local politics and public administration in all levels. And equipped them with essential practical skills to pursue a career in these fields.
2Develop students understanding in broader fields of humanities and social sciences to gain an interdisciplinary perspective.
3The programme is structured to prepare students for a career at all levels of public sector and bureaucracy, political parties, think thanks, international organization, local and international civil society organizations. Additionally, the programme graduates are able to pursue career in private sector in various positions such as working as managers, consultants.
Objectives
1Develop an ability to follow innovations and developments in science and technology and utilise them effectively
2Develop effective oral, written and technological communication skills
3Learn to work effectively as part of a team as well as a team leader in multidisciplinary as well as multi-cultural and develop skills and discipline for individual and independent work
4Gain in-depth knowledge of theories, concepts in Political Science, Public Administration and International Relations
5Follow and understand changes in patterns of governance, political communities, political behavior, ideas and structures
6Develop an understanding of the world and international politics, analyse the interplay between international-national and local level politics and assess how global, national and regional developments affect society and state-society relations
7Develop an understanding of broader fields of humanities and social sciences Understand different scientific disciplines from natural and social sciences such as mathematics, finance, statistics, international relations, law and international law, economics, and economic globalization, sociology and develop interdisciplinary approaches in thinking and practice.
8Thinking critically to make logical inferences and construct arguments, formulating reasoned conclusions

ETIS : İstanbul Aydın University Education & Training System Cyprus Science University ECTS Information Package ECTS Information Package European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) which was introduced by the European Council in 1989, within the framework of Erasmus, now part of the Life Long Learning Programme, is a student-centered credit system based on the student workload required to achieve the objectives of a programme specified in terms of learning outcomes and competences to be acquired. The implementation of ECTS has, since its introduction, has been found wide acceptance in the higher education systems across the European Countries and become a credit system and an indispensable tool supporting major aims of the Bologna Process and, thus, of European Higher Education Area as it makes teaching and learning in higher education more transparent across Europe and facilitates the recognition of all studies. The system allows for the transfer of learning experiences between different institutions, greater student mobility and more flexible routes to gain degrees. It also offers a systematic approach to curriculum design as well as quality assessment and improvement and, thus, quality assurance.
