   1 It has theoretical and practical knowledge about the optician profession. He has knowledge and equipment on opticianry terminology, health legislation, health law. Performs the optician profession within the framework of ethical rules, by fulfilling his duties and responsibilities. Graduates of the program may be responsible for the optician institutions in the private sector or have the right to open an optician institution.
   2 Learning basic epidemiological concepts and using these concepts appropriately in professional practices. Has knowledge about optician, his professional authority and responsibilities.
   3 It has information about basic vision devices such as glasses, contact lenses and low vision devices (telescopic products etc.).
   4 To be able to adapt to the user by selecting, selling and preparing basic vision devices according to the prescription.
   5 To be able to measure numbered lenses and diopters of contact lenses and make necessary settings for their assembly.
   6 Gözlüğün hazırlanması için gerekli ekipmanları, gereçleri ve makineleri kullanabilme.
   7 Temel optik aletler hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip olabilme.
   8 To have general knowledge in the fields of basic mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Geometric Optics

   10 Opticians use computer programs effectively used in the optician program.
   11 To raise modern individuals who have Turkish language knowledge and usage skills, and have professional foreign language knowledge at a level to follow professional developments.

The implementation of ECTS has, since its introduction, has been found wide acceptance in the higher education systems across the European Countries and become a credit system and an indispensable tool supporting major aims of the Bologna Process and, thus, of European Higher Education Area as it makes teaching and learning in higher education more transparent across Europe and facilitates the recognition of all studies. The system allows for the transfer of learning experiences between different institutions, greater student mobility and more flexible routes to gain degrees. It also offers a systematic approach to curriculum design as well as quality assessment and improvement and, thus, quality assurance.
