Objectives and Contents |
Objectives of the Course Unit |
To give students basic theoretical and practical information about palpation techniques, measurement, evaluation; to teach practically palpable anatomical structures for treatment, evaluation in different situations where palpation is used; to learn the basic concepts in terms of practical application; to improve the ability to apply and to develop problem solving skills in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. |
Contents of the Course Unit |
The basic principles of palpation, palpation of the shoulder girdle and related tissues, elbow hand-wrist, upper limb ligament and tendon palpation, mandible and cervical region palpation, thoracic region and thorax, lumbal region and pelvis, hip and knee, ankle and foot, limb ligament palpation, segmental connections between bone tissues, palpation of upper limb muscles, palpation of lower limb muscles, palpation of trunk muscles are included in this course. |

Palpation is used to diagnose the nervous system, muscles and the joint movements problems and define appropriate treatment approaches. |
