Objectives and Contents
Objectives of the Course Unit The aim of the Child Health and Diseases Nursing course is; The basic concepts, theories and principles of Child Health and Disease Nursing are to provide students with knowledge and skills at a level that can examine the care needs of a healthy / sick child and his family with a professional holistic approach in every stage of health care, in line with the health needs of the society.
Contents of the Course Unit This course primarily discusses normal child development, common health concerns, the physiological processes that may cause illness, such as genetic, familial and environmental factors, and more serious chronic conditions. The nursing student studies health assessment procedures in children from newborn to late adolescence, and disease prevention are common topics covered in this course.
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education To contribute to nursing care aimed at improving nursing care and health of children aged 0-18.
