Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education |
Cardiac rehabilitation is the sum of planned and programmed activities aimed at bringing heart patients closer to their pre-illness stage. As a multidisciplinary treatment method, it requires good teamwork. The main members of the cardiac rehabilitation team are the physician, nurse and physiotherapist. While physicians undertake the medical directorship of the program, nurses are mostly responsible for patient education, coordination and psychosocial approach, and physiotherapists are responsible for exercise programs. The more cohesive the team members are, the more successful the rehabilitation will be. |
