Objectives and Contents |
Objectives of the Course Unit |
The goal of this course is to teach non-continuity discrete mathematical ideas as well as the mathematical methods and tools that are used to study them. Discrete mathematics; It comprises a variety of ideas, including charts, trees, graphs, relations (relations), functions, propositional logic, the fundamentals of Boolean algebra, mathematical induction, and recursion relations. This course also presents some mathematical proof methods, such as the pigeon nest principle, the validation table, the induction methodology, and the Venn diagram method. Furthermore, discrete mathematics opens the door for more difficult courses. Data structures, algorithms, database systems, digital logic design, digital logic systems, operations research, automata theory, computer security, abstract algebra, mathematical modeling, geometry, and topology are just a few of the subjects that are mathematically underpinned by discrete mathematics. |
Contents of the Course Unit |
In particular, this class is meant to introduce logic, proofs, sets, relations, functions, counting, and probability, with an emphasis on applications in electrical and computer engineering. |
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education |
he purpose of this course is to understand and use (abstract) discrete structures that are backbones of computer science. |
