Objectives and Contents
Objectives of the Course Unit Preparing a health education program suitable for the development of family and community health, providing students with the knowledge and behaviors required to implement this program, examining the basic concepts, theories and principles related to education and teaching, and in line with the philosophy of the school and country needs, healthy / sick individual, family and to train nurses who have adopted lifelong education that can be used in contemporary roles and functions in the protection, development, treatment and rehabilitation of public health.
Contents of the Course Unit In this course students will examine the role of the nurse educator in relation to broader perspectives of clinical and patient education in the healthcare environment. Further, students will implement aspects of the nurse educator role in relation to patient education and staff education. Students will gain practical experience and develop competency in learning and teaching methods used in health care settings.
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education The student who successfully gives this course plays a primary role in the education process of individuals, patients and relatives in the professional field.
