Objectives and Contents
Objectives of the Course Unit This course focuses on the pathophysiological processes and changes in surgical and medical diseases.
Contents of the Course Unit In this course symptoms and findings presented by the patients, deterioration in organ and system functions and cause and effect relationships are discussed. By using the conceptual knowledge acquired, the students will gain the ability to question and analyze the pathophysiological changes in the clinical situations which they will encounter.
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education The aim of this course is to teach students basic physiopathological issues and concepts. This course focuses on the pathophysiology of the most common diseases that disrupt cell, organ, and system functions. In this course, basic physiopathological mechanisms at the cell level are taught.
