Objectives and Contents
Objectives of the Course Unit Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to demonstrate history-taking and interviewing skills necessary for comprehensive data collection. Demonstrate beginning level skill in the techniques of physical exam: inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation. To enable students to differentiate between normal and abnormal assessment findings and integrate health assessment into the nursing process and nursing practice.
Contents of the Course Unit This course covers practical application of holistic health assessment as the basis for nursing intervention and practice, interviewing skills, health history, physical examination, cultural variations and lab and diagnostic procedures. The collection of data through these skills is the first step in the nursing process: the data are used as the basis of nursing diagnoses and nursing interventions to promote health, prevent illness, or manage illness.
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education Enables students to apply the knowledge of health assessment for nursing intervention and practice, interviewing skills, health history, physical examination which then is used as the basis for nursing diagnosis and nursing interventions to promote health, prevent illness or manage illness.

AKTS, aynı zamanda, yükseköğretim kurumlarına, öğretim programları ve ders içeriklerinin iş yüküne bağlı olarak kolay anlaşılabilir bir yapıda tasarlanması, uygulanması, gözden geçirilmesi, iyileştirilmesi ve bu sayede yükseköğretim programlarının kalitesinin geliştirilmesine ve kalite güvencesine önemli katkı sağlayan bir sistematik yaklaşım sunmaktadır. The implementation of ECTS has, since its introduction, has been found wide acceptance in the higher education systems across the European Countries and become a credit system and an indispensable tool supporting major aims of the Bologna Process and, thus, of European Higher Education Area as it makes teaching and learning in higher education more transparent across Europe and facilitates the recognition of all studies. The system allows for the transfer of learning experiences between different institutions, greater student mobility and more flexible routes to gain degrees. It also offers a systematic approach to curriculum design as well as quality assessment and improvement and, thus, quality assurance.
