Objectives and Contents
Objectives of the Course Unit This course aims to gain the knowledge and skills of the student to learn the importance of doing scientific research in nursing profession, resource scanning methods, concepts and principles related to planning and execution of research process, principles and methods, criticize research, and use research results to improve nursing care.
Contents of the Course Unit This course will introduce the main statistical methods used in health care research; essential concepts, principles and techniques utilized in scientific inquiry. The research process is systematically introduced with an emphasis on its application to nursing practice. Critical thinking, problem solving, research critique, and theory utilization in professional nursing practice is a central activity during this course.
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education It contributes to the students to follow the new developments related to the profession, to research the patient problems and nursing practices and to transfer the results to the application environment.
