Objectives of the Course Unit | To develop the ability to transfer this basic knowledge acquired to nursing practices by gaining knowledge about microbiology, virology and parasitology. |
Contents of the Course Unit | This course covers principles of microbiology and the impact these organisms have on man and the environment. Topics include the various groups of microorganisms, identification and control of pathogens, disease transmission, host resistance, and immunity. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge of microorganisms and the disease process as well as aseptic and sterile techniques. |
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education | It will contribute to vocational education and practices of all basic knowledge about microbiology. With this course, students with basic gains related to micro-living will be able to learn effectively in field courses. |
