Objectives of the Course Unit The course aims to convey cognitive, physical and socio-emotional development in emerging adulthood, young adulthood, middle adulthood and advanced adulthood from adolescence. In line with this purpose, it is aimed to enable students to transfer the theoretical knowledge acquired to professional institutions where they can work in the field of development.
Contents of the Course Unit The course includes cognitive, physical and socio-emotional development from adolescence to emerging adulthood, young adulthood, middle adulthood and advanced adulthood. In addition, the research methods used in developmental psychology are also covered.
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education Developmental Psychology II. The information learned in the course provides basic theoretical information to those who will work with adolescents, adults and the elderly in clinics. It also provides information to graduates who will work in nursing homes about advanced adulthood processes. Thanks to this information, graduates who will work with adolescents, adults and the elderly can make researches and identify positive or negative situations in developmental processes.
