Objectives and Contents
Objectives of the Course Unit To acquire language proficiency level in A2 (Elementary Level), the four basic skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing) and grammatical competence with the required vocabulary to be able to understand the everyday recurring communication situations needing direct and easy information exchange on familiar topics.
Contents of the Course Unit -Verb be, Subject Pronouns: Days of the week, numbers 0-20, greetings. -The world, numbers 21-100 -Possessive adjectives, Classroom language -A/an,plurals: This/That/These/Those, Colours, adjectives, modifiers -Imperatives, let's, feelings -Present simple, verb phrases, jobs/ -Word order in questions, question words/ -Whose..?, Possessive 's, family/ -Prepositions of time (at,in,on) and place (at,in,to), everyday activities/ -Position of adverbs and expressions of frequency/ -Can/can't, verb phrases/ -Present Continuous, The weather and seasons/ -Object Pronouns, Phone language/ -Like + (verb -ing), the date, ordinal numbers/

1 Learn to understand basic instructions on times, dates and numbers etc., and on routine tasks and assignments to be carried out
2 Learn to describe people, places and possessions in simple terms.
3 Learn to ask and answer questions about habits and routines.
4 Learn to find specific, predictable information in simple everyday material such as advertisements, prospectuses, menus, reference lists and timetables.
5 Acquire the grammatical competence to fill in the blanks with the given verbs with the correct tense (Simple present, present continuous, past simple, and present perfect).
6 Learn new vocabulary to engage in basic communication about their present and past.
7 Learn to compare actions or people.
