INFORMATION SECURITY ENGINEERING (ENGLISH)
The Information Security Engineer is responsible for the security of an organization’s computer systems and networks. The Information Security engineer implements security measures that effectively safeguard sensitive data in the event of a cyber-attack. The role involves collaboration with the information security team to offer support to security tools and technologies such as firewall, proxy server, remote access, and others. The Information Systems Security Engineer is expected to report directly to upper management. It is the Information Security Engineer who conducts log analysis and other network forensic investigations also prepares the company for forensic readiness. They provide full cooperation to the appropriate teams for participating in cyber investigations.
The Information Security Engineer will research and investigate the potential impact of new threats and exploits. The engineer will guide the Information Security team in examining and developing networks security solutions. They provide advice on vulnerabilities or potential vulnerabilities within architecture. The professional will analyze any security-related data from a wide range of security products and devices.
Our Bachelor’s Degree Program of the Department of Information Security Engineering is a 240 ECTS credits, 4-year program composed of eight semesters, each of which has a 30 ECTS workload. One ECTS equals to 25.5 hours of student workload per semester.
The mission of our department is to provide education for students with skills necessary to compete in all over the world and able to answer social and technical needs in Information Security - Cyber Security fields. To accomplish this, our curriculum consists of basic principles of Information Systems, Critical Infrastructures, Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics, as well as the use of Artificial Intelligence in Cyber attack detection and prevention. Our curriculum aslo includes Cybersecurity Law which investigates legal aspects of Cybersecurity. Total curriculum contains practical, therotical and design courses for providing qualified education.
