| Objectives of the Course Unit |
This course provides students with the ability to gain knowledge, skills and attitudes related to the management functions involved in planning, organizing, executing, evaluating and coordinating nursing services and transferring information about nursing services management to practice. |
| Contents of the Course Unit |
This course examines leadership and management theories with concurrent clinical experience in the nurse manager role. The course will consider various elements of leadership in a complex, multi-professional and rapidly changing healthcare system, and will enable students to assess and strengthen their managerial and communication skills. An understanding of current economic, political, professional and social issues in healthcare will provide a basis for the development of leadership skills. |
