Objectives of the Course Unit | The purpose of this course is to inform the physiotherapy students about indications, applications, modifications of orthoses, to teach the solution of the potential complications of orthotic applications, to comprehend appropriate treatment program planning and implementation for increase the effectiveness of the orthosis and rehabilitation and to develop skills to solve specific problems in patients. |
Contents of the Course Unit | Biomechanical principles of orthotics, before and post orthotic evaluations, , orthotic applications for upper and lower limbs and vertebral column segments, musculoskeletal, orthoses use in nervous system diseases, orthotics control and orthotic rehabilitation techniques. |
