Objectives and Contents
Objectives of the Course Unit This course requires the student to implement and report the process and outcomes of their comprehensive review of the literature on a relevant nursing topic.
Contents of the Course Unit This course is the first course in a two-course sequence; it addresses a research project on a topic of interest; topics may concern careers, health, social, educational, political, technology, environmental, and community issues. Topics must be appropriate for study and presentation in the school environment, and should constitute areas of study and interest for the student that will contribute to the general store of knowledge in the subject. Students will choose their own topics or areas of interest, and the assigned faculty member will provide the structure, the process, the deadlines, the criteria, the feedback, and the support to promote success. All topics must be pre-approved by the assigned faculty member.
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education Research related to nursing under the direction of a faculty member involving in-depth study that includes planning, specification, evaluation and documentation.
