Objectives and Contents
Objectives of the Course Unit To train nurses who can define the basic principles and concepts of psychiatric nursing, emerging behavioral disorders, and use the knowledge, skills and attitudes gained for the protection, development and improvement of mental health effectively.
Contents of the Course Unit This course is designed to assist the student in the use of the nursing process, critical thinking skills and evidence-based practice when providing patient centered care with psychiatric mental health disorders and chemical dependence. Content includes the structure of psychiatric services, mental health promotion and preventive interventions. The psychopharmacological aspects of nursing care are integrated throughout the course.
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education In this program, the student will gain deep knowledge in the field of psychiatric nursing, transfer the knowledge of psychiatric nursing to the field of application, access to information in his field, critically evaluate the information, and contribute to his field by conducting scientific research.
