Objectives and Contents
Objectives of the Course Unit	To obtain information about epidemiology, physiopathology, classification and risk factors of cancer; To gain the knowledge and skills to plan and apply the holistic care of adult patients with cancer and their families, to know the effects and side effects of chemotherapy-radiotherapy treatments, to know cancer diagnosis and treatment and to apply appropriate nursing interventions, to improve the life quality of cancer patients and to protect against cancer.
Contents of the Course Unit	Students will be equipped with the knowledge in providing patient care utilising various types of cancer treatment commencing with the pathogenesis of cancer, health education and prevention of cancer, and early diagnosis up to cancer patient management at advanced and terminal stages.
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education	With this course, our students will gain basic knowledge, cancer prevention and early diagnosis, symptom control and treatment methods in oncology diseases, which is one of the most important health problems of our age.
