Objectives and Contents
Objectives of the Course Unit The course is aimed to introduce students to digital logic design.
Contents of the Course Unit Emphasis will be laid on the number systems, arithmetic operations, decimal codes, alphanumeric codes, Boolean algebra, Karnaugh maps, NAND and NOR gates, exclusive-OR gates, integrated circuits, combinational circuits, decoders, encoders, multiplexers, adders, subtractors, multipliers, sequential circuits, latches, flip-flops, sequential circuits analysis, registers, counters, RAM and ROM memories, programmable logic technologies (PLA, PLD, CPLD, FPGA), and counters.
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education Students will learn to 1.Perform arithmetic operations in many number systems 2.Manipulate Boolean algebraic structures 3.Analyze and design various combinational logic circuits 4.Analyze and design clocked sequential circuits
