Objectives of the Course Unit Course Objectives: 1. To introduce students in aviation business models in general terms. 2. To give general information about cargo transportation. 3. To explain the turning points in aviation history with their reasons and contributions. 4. To indoctrinate the basic factors of aviation economics. 5. To explain the types and concepts of airports. 6. To introduce the international aviation organizations in general terms. 7. To demonstrate the basic organizational structures in aviation.
Contents of the Course Unit This course enable students to know basic principles of aviation such as; history of the airline industry, the airline industry today, airline organizational structure and personnel, airline business model, airline safety and security, airport functions, air navigation service providers (ansps) functions, airline fleet, airline manufacturers and vendors, government and industry agencies
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education To teach students important aviation knowledge that will form the basis of real airline business. To enable students to know the problems that airlines have faced in the past and may face in the future. Informing the responsible institutions and what needs to be done in the face of any accident or event. Students will be able to analyze the factors affecting the profitability of an airline.
