Objectives of the Course Unit | The basic knowledge, skills and competencies that the International Relations Program aims to provide to its students are to evaluate political, historical, social and economic developments at the regional and global level; to explain the relations between states and international organizations; recognize international cooperation and international problem solving mechanisms and methods. The purpose of the course is to provide students with the conceptual and theoretical knowledge related to the field and the multi-dimensional evaluation competence considering the complex dynamics of globalization and international relations. |
Contents of the Course Unit | The structure of the international system; international actors; major foreign policy outcomes of states; foreign policy motives of states; the main forms of relations between states; diplomacy; use of power; international security; sanctions; international cooperation; humanitarian intervention; nuclear deterrence; international economy; new searches in international relations |
