Objectives of the Course Unit | The course is designed to introduce the students to the business concepts and methods used to report managerial performance information to internal users and managers to assist in making sound business decisions in managing the firm. In this context, this course will help the student to understand and utilize the fundamental concepts of managerial accounting. |
Contents of the Course Unit | This course will focus on cost behavior with an emphasis on the accumulation of product costs and budgeting for planning and performance evaluation. Coverage includes financial statement analysis, job order costing, process costing, activity-based costing, cost-volume-profit analysis, pricing, incremental analysis and budgeting. |
