Objectives and Contents
Objectives of the Course Unit The aim of this course is to teach the characteristics and adaptation problems of infancy, childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, middle ages and old age development periods and to provide ways to deal with these problems.
Contents of the Course Unit Adaptation problems that occur in childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, middle-aged and old age development.
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education To be able to comprehend the basic concepts, principles and historical development related to mental health, Understanding the developmental characteristics and adaptation problems of life periods, To be able to explain the normality criteria for mental health, To be able to integrate mental health theories with the profession and the requirements of national education, To be able to explain preventive and interfering strategies in psychological counseling service.
