Objectives and Contents
Objectives of the Course Unit The aim of this course is to examine interpersonal communication in terms of shaping human relations and providing continuity to these relationships, to convey to students how the interpersonal communication plays a role in the development of individual identity and how it can be used as a tool to improve the communication of people who are in social interaction.
Contents of the Course Unit This course covers the impact of social context, culture, identity and roles in face-to-face communication. In the course, interpersonal communication elements are analyzed within the framework of case studies. Students are expected to participate in the discussion, prepare a written assignment and a group project.
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education To be able to develop measuring tools, documents and resources to be used in guidance and psychological counseling services when necessary.
