Objectives and Contents
Objectives of the Course Unit	The necessity of being creative and critical thinking, aware of the value judgments of the society in which they are able to analyze the changes of educational and scientific concepts, the historical process of education, the changes of education according to the ages and to associate this change with social events, the necessity of being an individual in the awareness of the national and universal values ​​of education system, educate teachers with awareness.
Contents of the Course Unit	Basic concepts of education, relation and functions of education with other sciences, historical development of education science, orientations in educational science in 21st century, research methods in education science, structure and characteristics of Turkish National Education system, role of teacher in education system, characteristics of teaching profession, improvements.
Contribution of the Course Intending to Provide the Professional Education	This course will contribute to the development of teaching, learning and teaching and basic pedagogical perspectives of prospective teachers and to contribute professionally in the context of defining Turkish National Education System.
